Might be worth fiddling with the list to get your cavalry to 9 - that way they'll need to lose 3 for a panic rather than 2.

Also is it really worth having 4 characters? When you weigh up what they actually give you to what they cost. If you stick you gaffa in the middle of you line with the Army Standard you should get the same effect.

I put the tribunes in to make two of my units drilled and stubborn, in the long turn making it cheaper by 8 pts and its a bit more combat punch.

Unless it's a special rule for Romans, characters dont transfer abilities to units, they've only got Stubborn themselves to stop them running away if in a Stubborn unit!

Stubborn = Ignore first break test in each combat, if auto broken by warband/fear 4+ says you stay :)
Drilled = LD test to take no impact hits from chariots + elephant attacks, plus some movement benefits

You also need to make sure you can carry a large shield while mounted.

That's why I have added +1pt and horse in brackets as it would drop down to a shield instead.

how many attacks does a tribune have?

I would adjust your units to 18 strong units, 6 wide 3 deep. It'll give you more attacks and will be cheaper.

I still advise going with 18 strong units. Larger frontage for you to get more attacks especially with your pilum armed troops.
