Cant you just book it as holiday?
For now I shall be a proud and mentally impaired player who apparently shares the same intelligence level of that of a chimp. Now if you would excuse me I have pressing matters to attend to, I have found a stick and I am going to poke a banana.

I was browsing through the GW website when it mentioned some Warhammer World Events. Looking through, I found the master list for their events over the next year - http://warhammerworld.typepad.com/20...2012.02.10.pdf

I think I might be up for this. I've never done a GT before. Aparantly LotRs GT are a lot less WAAC than WFB and 40k GTs.

Are they having qualifiers for WotR? that bumps the cost up of doing normal GW GT's.

I don't know but I doubt it. WotR is a new game at best so there won't be that many players, it think.

Ha, very true. I fancy giving it a go with WotR more than I ever did in WFB. The armies just don't lend themselves to the crazy armies (the crazier side is possible but is it any good?). I will wait and see what happens with the FAQ and Battlehost before I confirm.

I like the system - but I'm just not a gamer that likes where characters are the strongest influencing point of an army.

Before anyone goes on the defensive, it's just the way War of the Ring is. You need characters to so the nicer things in the game.

I know historical are using the system to create something for Napoleonics - and I know I'll be up for that!!!!

I'd be intrested to see what they come up with on the historical front. The system is pretty strong even if you just keep to the standar hero and ignore the epic ones. I imagine this is the way they will go with it.
