Silver Skulls

Picked up my silver spray today. So the plan is to spray up a test figure tomorrow and then coat it in the new GW black ink. After that (all being well) I'm going for a limited palette to aid getting them done.

So far the system for painting will be:-

1. Spray Black
2. Black paint missed areas
3. Spray Silver
4. Ink whole figure
5. Dry-brush whole fig' bolt gun metal. Then lite brush chainmail
6. Paint all non metal areas black then hi-lite
7. Eyes red
8. Paint helmet Silver
9. Markings
10. Bases

Job done - that's the plan anyway!

Why not just use the silver spray as the undercoat?

Black undercoat is always good as when the next spray goes on, little areas will already have some shading.

First game of 40k tonight and I had a cracking laugh with Rob N. He manage to win the game after a tense few rounds battering each others scoring units, leaving about 6 Tau and 4 Marines on the battlefield!

As I'm not at the club next week I'm going to try and get a game on a week day with someone - Rob K watch your phone

Sure thing! I think i'm busy friday-wednesday, but we can probably squeeze in a game before the mini-tourney.

Got to say it was a cracking game and you were veeeerrryy unlucky at times. I've never known so many rolls of a 1 for terminator saves. I think it would have been a very different game had they survived a full turn.

Can't wait to try my luck against you again. I'll remember to keep an eye on those damn attack bikes next time too.... :)
