WFB 8: What army?

WFB 8: What army?

Postby Sedge » Jul 15th, '10, 12:03

SO with the new WFB coming through my door I have started getting a little bit interested in this new edition. There are many pros as i see it but the biggest has to be the increase in usability that the humble foot slogger has recieved. Viva la infantry

Despite this I have a hankering for a Bret army :? but with loads of peasents :D

What army, if any, will you be going to collect that you might not have considered before?

It would still be the VC, but I will need to re think the list and read the rules.

not much then

Not so much an army I haven't considered before more - what army have I filled the house with figures for ( but never got round to playing Warhammer ! ) ?

Empire

Although I do like the idea of totally impractical armies - shame a VC army made up only of zombies would be totally impractical ( seen Night of the Living Dead / Shaun of the Dead too many times ! :D ) .

I'll be sticking with my Dark Elves, although does it count as "something new" if they're the only army i'm not painting predominantly blue/purple/black?

Skaven do look like fun, and if the starter set is awesome I may well be tempted, but the fact that they're a horde army kind of puts me off.

I'll stick with WAB at the moment. Maybe early 2011 I'll get the stumpies out, as every so often I still like to convert and paint them up.

Also I'm still putting together my ACW Confederates!

Cant say I can generate any enthusiasm for the game at the moment, I am sure that will change and when it does I will probably go orc or dwarf but then again i might go lizard. DOH to many choices

I'm planning on bringing my old 5th edition High Elves down just in case the new starter models are also awesome.

Im getting rid of the Tomb Kings (Thinking of converting into a blood bowl team)
An army with that much cavalry can no longer compete.
