I think your all being a little bit harsh on Will here.

I agree that 4 mortars is a tiny bit excessive but now that anything is wounded on a 6+ that age of the big nasty gribbly is at an end. even Steam tanks will have a much shorter existance under the new rules and some well aimed bowfire. Big blocks of stubborn troops will be able to cater for things such as Mortars etc.

I havnt yet had a game of 8th but it would be interesting to see how it plays. Personally i get the feeling that armies with high initiative will be the strongest in the game... I am sure there will be a resurgence of high elf armies but alas Dark elves will still be a right nightmare to beat.

Goblins will be as rubbish as ever bt they will be big :D

It's all for laughs. ;)

I hope Will has learnt his lesson. copying armies of the internet is not a good idea nor is making very un warchiefs like lists.

Its all japes and we have all come up against the hairiest hoariest beardy armies over the years, especially at tournaments.
The last tournament I played at in Basingstoke had the cheesiest marine army I have ever seen! A unit comprised of independant characters all benfiting from the specail rules they convey to any squad they join! All legal in the rules but so cheesy that you could smell the gorgonzola from the other side of the table, and that was just for starters, but it all comes apart when you give a cheese head army a good sound thrashing! Nothing tastes better!
