Good game Rob. Nice to see your wonderfully painted marines in the flesh/power armour. I was quite pleased with how my new army held up to you thought I think I was a bit daft bringing on my reserves first turn. I should have waited for you to deploy before charging out. The wytches were very good (well one unit was anyway) and The bikes helped as well. I don't think I would change my list that much. For the next 500pts I am going to add a lot more troops and possibly another bike squad.

Thanks for the compliment Sedge, your dudes were looking pretty sharp, too.
It was a fun game, despite getting a whupping :D At least my scouts performed for once! They showed up in the right place and managed to claim a couple of kill points by themselves, which is a step up from their usual tactic of not bothering to turn up at all!
Another couple of warrior units in raiders sounds like a solid addition for 1500!

I've not been very productive lately. No reason in particular, but bouncing between so many different projects doesn't help.
Here's a few things on my desk i'm working on at the moment.

Image
Chaos Blood Angel Counts As Assault Marine Sgt, or Raptor Champion, depending on what mood i'm in.

Image
Gene Priest got some paint as well. I think the white might need a few more coats still.

Image
I've also started on a bloodbowl team! Not terribly exciting, just a chaos warrior with the weapons hacked off. Going for a tzeentch themed team, so blues as opposed to my usual love affair with purple. Yes, I know, it's a massive change.

Image
At last, a sure fire method of speed painting 10 dudes at once!

Very nice!

As this is a 40k pic thread, i would recommend people to search on ebay for "warhammer 40k eldar army" currently going for over a grand, not that anyones going to buy it (who has that kind of bunce?!), but there are lots of good pics and the painting and conversion is excessively impressive (26days left so plenty of time to check it out).

One of the best armies ive ever seen probably. Anyhoo, worth scoping out, if only to be inspired... or alternatively weep...

You know what?
Yellow armies are awesome.

Bad Moons. Craftworld Iyanden. Imperial Fists. Marines Malevolent have a cool scheme. I have a soft spot for Lamenters, too. You have to love any force who's history is comprised entirely of horrible things that have happened to them.
I'm a big fan of the BA codex, and their figures (Space Hulk too), but I'm not in love with the chapter enough to really want to paint any. None of their successor chapters do it for me either. Except the Lamenters!
I've never painted yellow before, so here's my first attempt.
Work in progress, obviously.

I've been working on this Raven Guard guy too. I won't tell you when I started him though, it's embarrassing.

Finally, some progress on the first of my Blood Bowl team. I think I'm going to do the outside of his cloak white.

Thanks!
As for yellow, well, use lots of layers!
The way I'm trying it is Iyanden Darksun (as I primed black), Ogryn Flesh wash (which is the stage most of the miniature is at), then bestial brown up to sunburst yellow, with extreme highlights of yellow up to pure white.

I've got the first 2 members of my Chaos Bloodbowl team finished. I need to assemble myself some more beastmen now.
Photos are a bit poor. I also need to figure out where to put the team number on each dude. The beastmen will probably get shoulder tattoos, but i'm not sure about the warriors.

I also finished the first ever rank of troops for my new Dark Elf scheme. Only took me a couple of evenings, which is good as I have a load of spearmen to do next.
