So then fello gamers, I have 2k of Dark Ages Flemish painted (banners required though) so it's time to go back to my Punic army - yippeee!

As I started collecting this lot quiet a few months ago I have several units already:-

2 x 24 African Foot
28 Gallic Foot

and as of wednesday this week I've added 10 Gallic Cavalry. Nearly 1000pts, just need to get some skirmishers.

My Gallic foot are back out on the painting table, these bad boys are an absolute pleasure to paint as you can go crazy with the colour scheme. As I have 6 completed I want to finish off the unit!

In the next couple of weeks I'll be getting some more toys... the Gas company owes me a nice little rebate of £185! so some has to be spent on some fresh lead and maybe an elephant!

Unfortunately no, I went to buy one but they were all out of stock!

The game with Toby I used a base with an 'invisible' nelly!

Thought I'd post my most likely 2000pt list,

Army General, large shield

Army Standard Bearer, light armour, large shield

24 Trained Africans
22 Trained Africans (Gaffa and Army Standard live here)
28 Gallic Infantry
28 Gallic Veterans
24 Italian Infantry (light infantry)
3 x 10 Skirmishers (javelins)
10 Numidian cavalry (light cavalry)
10 Gallic Cavalry
9 Slingers

1999pts in total.

It gives me 2 heavy foot (Africans), medium foot (Gallic) and some handy light foot with the Italians who can be formed or skirmish. Its going to be a play around for now. I want to get the feel of a Punic army in Italy with a strong Gallic theme - not sure if I'll get a Nelly in (only one was left alive after the battle at River Trebia) some tinkering need somewhere along the line!
