Finally, the lads have managed to squeaze in a few minutes between manicures and buying expensive 6-horse coaches to do a photo shoot:

Results have been a bit of a mixed bag so far:

Game 1 v Deathskull Destroyers (Orcs - Toby)
Loss 2-1 Cas 1-1
Slow slog of a game, with one each of our players doing all the work! My first block saw one of his blitzers off the pitch, but then he successfully bashed my team around for the first half. I was quite lucky with loads of dodges though! :)

Game 2 v Karak Ravens (Dwarves - Doug)
Win 2-0 Cas 1-3
Slow 1st half. Doug nearly scored in his last turn, but failed a Go For It roll; I then scored and -end-to-end TD! However at the completion of the half I discovered that I had been playing with 12 players on the pitch the entire half! Second half was more open , and resulted in 2 deaths - 1 each! One of my TD's was an end-to-end scorcher! :)

Nice Work!
I really like how the array of coulors really fit together.
As a whole they look brilliant.

Cheers,
Will

Cheers Will! :D

Great game last night against Scotty's all-bashing High-Elf team. I came out 3-2 up, but it was hard work!

I started well, knocking over a couple of linemen, and pushing a few others, but then Scott had his first turn, and it all went slightly pear shaped after that. By the end of the first half, he was 2-1 up, and killed my journeyman, and took one of my regular linemen out for the rest of the match.

Despite having a starting lineup of 9 players, my lads continued to battle on, and pulled back a TD to level it 2-2. Olly 'Gunner' Soulskjar had been proving a real handful, dodging all over the place in a display of skill that made the elves look like orcs :) His ball handling skills were on form too, scooping up the ball from under the Elven noses with little effort. the away fans went mental after he scored the winner in the dying minutes of the game: Eric Cantenargh managed to sprint to the Elven ball carrier, and despite only pushing him backwards, he forced him to drop the ball. This allowed Olly to nimbly thread his way through the crowd, grab the ball, then snake his way to the end zone. Definitely Man of the Match, but the sponsors though otherwise and gave that accolade to one of the Throwers, who had done little the whole game....

Scotty's blocking was excellent, whereas mine was average at best. For an Elf team, they were doing a lot of bashing, and not a lot of passing, dodging etc etc. I think my lads are quite enjoying the dodging game, so I'll have to see how that goes...

I would like to point out that there's no mention of the hoodoo I placed on your player Dave, you know the one that now has a Niggling Injury? Also your attitude stank, how dare you blatantly pass all those dice rolls with a smile on your face and such a cavalier attitude! It was almost as if you were enjoying yourself and didn't mind being pummeled by Scotts dodgy dice rolls :D   :D
For now I shall be a proud and mentally impaired player who apparently shares the same intelligence level of that of a chimp. Now if you would excuse me I have pressing matters to attend to, I have found a stick and I am going to poke a banana.

It sounds like you had a fantastic game last night. I would have loved to come and see some of your plays but i had my hands full with Carls Chaos Pact. Despite a strong frst turn I was only 1-0 up. when the second half started so did the bleeding! He killed a lineman, injured another and KOed 3! Despite this he still struggled to get up the pitch safely. He formed a cage with a troll, ogre couple of marauders and a gobbo. Elf had ball safley in middle. I forced a one dice block (helped with leap) which knocked him flat (with a RR), the ball bounced on a few players who failed to catch, then my catcher nipped in, grabbed ball and ran like buggery. He just could get men back quick enough and woohoo 2-0!

Toby, your irresponsible knocking all my players over before the match only incited them to lift their game :P And yes I did enjoy myself, - one of the best BB games I've played for a while. And I've got used to Scott's uncanny ability to roll well for most of the game (except at crucial moments heheh :) )

Sedge, sounds you had your work cut out for you too! Are Chaos Pact a tough opponent, or have they got weaknesses?

I like the Chaos Pact team, weakness..... perhaps to few skills on the starting players. They get different races rather than positional players. Apart from that they seem like a pretty good team.
